These fall into two categories: Dating sites and matchmaking services. I'm not going to go into paid matchmaking services as I think they they were more of a pre-internet thing. Of the paid dating sites, There's really only two worth mentioning: ThaiLoveLines and Thai Love Links. I have written a review for both on the website in the link. Most people on the tourist trail never make it to the Philipines and that's a shame since it's a beautiful and interesting country. Poor as it is someplace, the people are some of the friendliest and velcoming you'll meet anywhere. The Filipina ladies are also very beautiful.

The price is about the same ($20 a month) and the site is similar in design. There's more than 200,000 members now and it's not as well known as ThaiLoveLinks, so you can avoid some of the bargirls and scammers on ThaiLoveLinks.

Watch Out For DateInAsia scams!

Ok, so I recently heard a story from a coworker back in the states about a guy who has recently lost over $2000 on an elaborate scam from DateInAsia. Apparantly, the guy had been chatting to a nice Filipina woman on the website, or so he thought. Then the stories started, she was sick, her brother needed money to pay of the police etc. He sent her money with Western Union and even sent her $1000 so she could buy a ticket to meet him in the US, but she never came.
